Travel to Light Night Leeds

We encourage our visitors to travel to Light Night Leeds by public transport.

Please be aware that there will be road closures and changes to bus services travelling to and from the city centre.

Park and Ride

Thursday and Friday until 11pm>

Travel into the city centre from the Park and Ride facilities at Elland Road and Temple Green, on hybrid buses with leather seats, USB points, and free WiFi every 30 minutes.

By car

We encourage using public transport, but if you are bringing your car into the city centre on Light Night, there are various car parks and on street parking available throughout the city.

Travel around Light Night Leeds

There are lots of ways to enjoy the many events at Light Night. Create your own route or follow one of our trails, hop on the free Light Night Rider bus, bring your bike, or even hail a water taxi!

Most of our events are in walking distance of each other. However, there are additional options available to help you get around the festival at your own pace.

Light Night Rider

Our very own free hop on hop off bus service!

Stopping at all the Light Night zones, the Light Night Rider is a great way to get between all the different events throughout the evening. Fully accessible, all stops will clearly be marked with Light Night bus stop signs.

The Light Night Rider 2020 timetable will be published closer to the event.

Bike rails

Leeds is aspiring to transform the city in a cleaner environment for everyone to enjoy. There are bike rails available all across the city.

Bike parking locations will be clearly displayed on the 2020 Light Night map, to be published closer to the event.

Water taxi

Thursday and Friday until 11pm

Take a free boat ride along the canal on a water taxi from Leeds station southern entrance to Leeds Dock. For more information visit the Leeds Dock website.
