26. POLAR - Gemma Wood (Being Now Here) (UK)

14 and 15 October 2021 - 6:30pm to 10:30pm

Polar by Gemma Wood

Head to Granary Wharf to find these lifesized polar bear sculptures, magnificent yet poignant, as they try to navigate their changing landscape. Broken up pieces of textile ice delicately sewn with printed decoration depict the warming oceans. As polar bears are added to the ‘vulnerable to extinction’ list, we appreciate and celebrate the aweinspiring creatures and reflect on how losing this landscape, ultimately affects our own.

27. Digital Playground - Little Lost Robot Studio (UK)

14 and 15 October 2021 - 6:30pm to 10:30pm

Digital Playground by Little Lost Robot Studio

Walk through this forest installation of oversized, robotic flowers. As visitors move around the sculptures the flower's appearance subtly changes according to the audiences’ movements. Simply walking, stepping, swaying, spinning or even dancing within the space will influence the robotic forest to change in appearance. This oasis aims to remind us all to take it slowly, breathe and play. Not replacing nature but representing our elationship with the environment, these flowers demystify emerging robotic technologies and provide access to playable and fun urban spaces.
