Thursday, 6.30pm – 9.30pm General visiting (Service 7.00pm – 7.45pm)
Traditional sung evening service lead by members of the Leeds Minster Choir and accompanied on the Minster’s powerful Harrison and Harrison Organ.
The Victorian Gothic interior of the church provides the atmospheric setting for this service and will be partially lit by candlelight. The service itself follows a format established five hundred years ago which forms one of the most enduring parts of the choral tradition of the Anglican Church. Visitors will also see figures which make up the ‘There but not there’ installation, which represent men of Leeds who went to war but never returned.
