Artist Debbie Cope runs the 'Knitting Communities Together' project at The Tetley. For Love Arts Festival, they are 'yarn bombing' a number of spaces around the city including the ‘Barrel Man’ sculpture on Dortmund Square.
A quirky fun intervention in our public spaces, yarn bombing is graffiti art involving knitted and crocheted pieces of multi-coloured yarn, transforming inanimate objects, and creating something new. Look out for their other yarn bombing at Leeds City Museum and The Tetley.
Presented as part of Love Arts Festival Oct 4th - 13th celebrating creativity and mental well-being.
