Disabled Access Day

Disabled Access Day

It’s all about giving people the opportunity to ‘Get out there and try something new’; and this year Leeds is excited to be getting involved.

Leeds will be celebrating Disabled Access Day in the week leading up to Saturday 12 March, with events and ‘have-a-go’ activities on offer across the city; and on the day activities will take place at a range of venues including South Leeds Stadium, Libraries throughout the city, and at Lotherton Hall.

We will be hosting a central event and official launch in the Broderick Hall of the Leeds City Museum; this will be a fun, informative event, to let disabled residents and visitors to Leeds know how inclusive Leeds is as a city and give people the opportunity to:

  • try something new - on the day itself or to sign up for a future activity
  • visit a new venue
  • have a great day out
  • dip in and out of the range of activities on offer

We are delighted to confirm that Paul Ralph, founder of Disabled Access Day will be attending and speaking at the City Museum launch event; where there will be information stands, tours, and exhibitions for people to enjoy, and with the aim of helping to increase awareness in terms of access and inclusion.
